The FWISC is involved in two types of skating: Learn to Skate for beginning skaters offered through the Canlan Ice Sports Skating Academy and Advanced Figure Skating for more advanced skaters interested in advancing their skills and competing individually.

Programs

Competitive figure skating at Canlan Ice Sports is offered in conjunction with the FWISC, the local affiliate of the U.S. Figure Skating.

Practices are scheduled at various times during the week.

Participants may schedule private lessons with Canlan Ice Sports professional skating instructors or get extra practice.  The Advanced Figure Skating Program is open to skaters of all levels (including Learn to Skate levels).  Participants must be a member of the FWISC.
